OHMYGOSH YOU GUYS YOU GUYS! There is an actual movie called Lesbian Vampire Killers! Let's see, is this an enjoyable over-the-top and silly story about a couple of female vampire villain protagonists in love? That could be fun, I wanna see that. OOOH! Is it a story about a couple of Buffy-ish totally badass and awesome girls who fall in love as they fight off the forces of evil and defend the world and are all kinds of TOTALLY AWESOME?! Because I need that story in my life SO BADLY! EE EE EE!

...Or it could be a story about the boring slacker dudes killing those ultra-sexxxaaay, eeeeviiiiiiilll (but sexxaaay) (but baaaaaad, wroooong, eeeeviiiil) lesbian vampires. A whole townful of them. Who have been cursed into lesbian vampirehood, at that (because that sexy, sexy lesbianism is TOTALLY something that happens as a result of an eeeeviiiil curse, dudes! Girls don't wanna screw each other instead of you, even if it is soooo hooot to watch!)

[Disclaimer: I am working off the TvTropes page, but it would take some really spectacular writing to remove these implications from a story with a premise of "evil vampire queen curses a male hero's town so that all of its women will be lesbian vampires, and then slacker guys arrive at that town." This cover (NSF[most]W) makes me really doubt they even tried, although the world is full of surprises. And it could never be as great as the other concepts.]

Yeah. Oughta be a law. (Okay, no there shouldn't, because the legal system has more important things to worry about. But there should be some kind of ethics.

Kind of reminds me of the punchline to the song "Purple People Eater". (In case you're not familiar, it turns out it's not a purple eater of people but an eater of purple people.)

I approve of this idea! Especially if they're carrying a ridiculous number of weapons; swords, guns, knives, stakes, garlic, water guns of holy water, whatever else. I mean, that's my mental image, but everyone has their own.

That is interesting, and a point. I am saddened by the "nerdy guys have no experience with women," though. Do we not exist (again) or is it meant to be a comment on misogynist geeks who end up without female contact because they're all "bitch make me a sandwich"? (Which I'd like to think is an unfair stereotype, but... yeah, I've run into it. They see it as a joke.)

Given that the comic has its fair share of nerdy female characters, I think it's a commentary on the "misogynist geek" thing. The guys who actually star in the comic are reasonably non-misogynist geeks, though (resident sophisticated lech Seth aside).

Okay, I see. I hope so. *sigh* So much would be solved by girls feeling safe geeking out with guys. Damn all cootie-notions in childhood, because I suspect that may be where it all starts.

The only thing I can say about the fail of the movie is: People can be real idiots sometimes.
