Found this quote today:

"Who is going to want to see [Robert] Downey Jr. and [Jude] Law make out? I don’t think it would be appealing to women." - Michael Medved

PLEASE SOMEBODY LINK THIS GUY TO THE RELEVANT KINKMEME(S). AND THEN TAPE THE RESULT.

Just... just... sarcasm generator failing. Cannot process all possible responses to this quote. IF ONLY HE KNEW.

Yeah, uh, NO. This is definitely someone who hasn't thought in detail about female fantasies, and if he has, he's never thought about whether women have fantasies that are similar to 'typical' male fantasies. Dear society, the female sex drive, it exists and it is not a bad thing.

(In retrospect, the tone of this post is pretty ambiguous, but to clarify: I'm basically dying of laughter. I shouldn't be, because the statement does showcase a lot of worrying views, but... I are you kidding me, Mister?)

This is a man who has never been introduced to fanfiction or fanart. I don't get why some guys think women don't find two men all over each other appealing when guys (probably the ones that don't get it too) think it's hot when two girls are all over each other.

Exactly. Just... exactly. They never think that things might work the same way the other way round, and clearly he has not explored fandom-related parts of the Internet, um, at all. Oh, I wanna see him ask that question to a group of slash fangirls. So. Badly.

Oh, him and slash fangirls in the same room...after he asked that question.

I'd need to make popcorn.

OH ! AGREEEEE!!! Why is it they can think 2 or more women are hot together, but not understand that WE think 2 beautiful men together are equally as hot? Screw the double standards, guys...lol!

*giggles*, but it would be appealing to (heterosexual) males? Who make up a large share of the target audience of the new Sherlock Holmes movie.

Well, he could not have said some men would be disgusted by seeing two men make out, because that would be homophobe. Better to be called ignorant or a sexist.

Yeah. Ignorant, sexist, and still homophobic, since he does in fact go on to say that straight men don't want to see it either. Let us cater everything to the straight men as always :(.

(But this quote will never stop being hilariously wrong.)
