Trouble on the Pit - of a different kind.

Look at this, people.

There is a bot up that's scanning stories on the Pit and reporting everything that it picks up as a ToS violation. The issues are many:

1. No warning for the violators.
2. No concrit, no way to help people improve.
3. They don't check their list before reporting it.
4. Do you use a header in the format of "Rating: Such-and-such?" If so, you're screwed; it may be flagged as script format.
5. Do your characters not use perfect grammar? Screwed.
6. Your characters read a few texts in the course of a lengthy narrative? Screwed.
7. Few typos in a long chapter? Screwed.
8. Hypocrisy! The existence of the program is a ToS violation.
9. Plus, it's just plain obnoxious and conceited.

That Red something-or-other, yeah? Most annoying thing ever, expecially since ff.net doesn't seem to even read abuse reports half the time, they just choose to delete or not on a whim.

Yeah; there's a reason I don't even bother trying to keep any kind of presence over there anymore. I hate the site, and I especially hate that they don't let you link to anything.

I still have a nostalgic filter over all the crap that goes on there. It's the site that introduced me to fanfiction, and I think I'll always post my stuff over there - though if something gets deleted, I'm not going to go through the hassle of reposting it.
