Okay. Fanfolks? Breaking news.

There is some fantastic stuff posted at Fanficton.Net.

Can we just be clear on that? I have found so much great stuff there. I do not have time to hunt down links, but ask me in the comments and I'll provide them Thursday or this weekend. Yeah, there is a lot of complete and irredeemable crap, but there is a ton of fabulous stuff as well, and - this is the important part - being posted at Fanfiction.Net does not mean it's automatically bad.

Can we acknowledge this, please?

I get 90% of my fanfic fixes from ff.net (though that's going down now that I've discovered kinkmemes and such, but still a large amount). There really is a ton of crap, but most of it is obvious from the summary, and the gems are worth finding. So much love for that site, most of the time.

Completely. The love is worth the crud, especially when you cheat and check for recs lists! I understand about the cross-site temptation, though; comms were what tempted me over here. And a quick glance at the FFXIII kinkmome, but I pretend that didn't happen.

Didja ever run into Bialy's and Serria's Death Note fic? So freakin' fabulous.

Never ventured into the Death Note section (it's only recently that I watched anything after L's death, and I didn't want to spoil myself too hard), but I'll check that out!

A lot of it tends to spoil the endings (and most of Bialy's best stuff is related to the younger Wammy's boys), but I repeat that it is really good.
